Siumell González-Bermúdez
Founding Attorney
Siumell González-Bermúdez was born in Puerto Rico and grew up in the towns of Humacao, Caguas, and San Juan. She earned her bachelor’s degree from the Faculty of Humanities with a concentration in Philosophy and Letters at the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus, and her Juris Doctor to practice as an attorney from the University of Puerto Rico School of Law. In 2010, after obtaining her Juris Doctor, she obtained her license to practice as an attorney and notary in Puerto Rico. In 2012, she was admitted to practice as an attorney before the United States District Court for the District of Puerto Rico. That same year, she obtained her Certification as a Mediator of Conflicts from the Office of Alternative Methods for Conflict affiliated with the Supreme Court of Puerto Rico. In 2018, she was admitted to practice as an attorney in the jurisdiction of Washington D.C. In 2020, she was admitted to practice as an attorney in the jurisdiction of Texas.
She served as a Law Clerk in the highest court of Puerto Rico, the Supreme Court of Puerto Rico. From that professional experience, she developed an independent private practice that led her to work in various aspects of administrative, labor, appellate, and criminal law. She has acted as legal advisor to multiple government entities in Puerto Rico, where she developed programs to reduce the number of cases in different government agencies, ensured compliance with regulatory provisions, incorporated alternative methods of conflict resolution into administrative processes in various government agencies, participated in investigations of matters of high public interest, and handled a wide range of complex legal matters. In addition, she served as legal counsel to multiple private entities in the field of labor law.

Her desire to continue growing as a professional led her to move to Austin, Texas. In recent years, she has devoted almost exclusively to immigration law, putting her years of experience, extensive knowledge of administrative and appellate law, and her passion and ability for legal research at the service of the thousands of immigrants seeking to legalize their immigration status in the United States.
She decided to found Kairos Law, PLLC to offer her services as an immigration attorney in accordance with the values of honesty, empathy, service, communication, and professionalism. She speaks English, Spanish, and some French. Spanish is her native language, allowing her to communicate fluently with Spanish-speaking clients.
